Day Five - "A Girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."

I'm fabulous.  There - I said it.  Never would have put it out there like that before, but I am a mommy now and that, in and of itself, makes me a fabulous woman.  Add to the mommy factor the fact that I am in a great job at which I excel.  My fabulousness is just unquestionable, no?  ;)

Today's quote is from Coco Chanel.  She would probably not think I am any too fabulous or at all classy.  She would take one look at the way I schlep all of the baby gear around and groan in embarrassment for me... or perhaps chuckle behind a perfectly manicured hand.  Time to fix that.

Today, I am pining over the most gorgeous diaper bag.  It is a total splurge, but I adore it and I have almost convinced myself that I will use it long after its use for diapers and bottles ends.  Look - it's just exudes classiness and fabulousness!  Okay, so that may not be in the new budget due to the cost of diapers, wipes, etc. (okay, and all of the adorable clothes I keep finding for my son!).

So, what's a gal to do?  I have to find a bag that I can carry in style to and from work, but that is practical for all of my son's necessary items.  At some point budget and looks meet in the middle and you find the most bang for your buck.  After considering the Skip Hop Stuido Tote ($70) and the Nest Canvas Diaper Bag (~$220), I have decided on this bag from Amy Michelle ($135).  Coco may not run up and hug me should she rise from the dead, but I can feel good about carrying it into my office every day.
